This little princess went to the beach for the first time! On Memorial Day, I just needed a break. I needed to escape all the craziness of life. I didn't want to work on cleaning my house. I didn't want to plan upcoming evenings. I didn't want to worry about everything I had to do. I just wanted to escape for a few hours with my favorite people.
Speaking of my favorites...there they are! That man, that baby and those puppies. The cutest little family if I do say so myself. I'm a bit biased, but that's okay!
The weather wasn't quite perfect, but it didn't rain, so that's a win in my book. The rain around here has been CRAZY lately. The sun occasionally peeked through the clouds, but for the most part it was overcast. Luckily it was plenty warm for playing in the water!
As you can see, Chloe LOVED playing in the water. She wanted to stick her face in it, but I told her no. She really enjoyed sitting in mommy's lap, grabbing the water and "jumping" over the waves. She also wanted to walk around the whole time.
After a while, we introduced her to the sand! She grabbed fists full and threw it into the water. Then of course, it went straight into her mouth! She didn't love that so much.
She enjoyed playing in the sand, but not as much as the water. I will say, watching her play in the sand was absolutely adorable. I'm so obsessed with this little girl!
I think the hardest part of all was getting cleaned up and ready to get in the car! After about 2.5 hours, we were ready to go. Two adults with a baby and two dogs is pretty exhausting. Showering in a public place with a baby is also exhausting, but we managed!
Clearly Chloe was pretty pooped too because after just a few minutes on the road, we pit stopped at Bucee's and this is what we found! A very tired little princess.
The beach was an excellent idea and I can't wait to go back! We'll be bringing others with us next time for sure!
I'm off bacheloretting and pretending I'm younger than I am and that my body can handle it! See y'all next week!
