Yoga-a-Day May!

Happy Friday Eve and more importantly first day of May! I wanted to give myself a challenge this month, but something a little different then what I usually do. I'm so used to going all out. Whether it be in my strength workouts, cycling class or distance running. I like to go big and hard and kick my workout's butt. So my challenge this month is a little different...

A few weeks ago, I decided that it's my goal to be able to do my splits again. My flexibility has decreased immensely over the past few years. I blame it on leaving cheer and gymnastics and picking up running! So this month's challenge is for me to do a minimum of 15 minutes of YOGA every day in May. I did this last year as well and felt very rejuvinated. I'm hoping this time around that I'll keep it up once May is over.

I'm going to use as a resource as well as my own yoga knowledge and a program at my gym called Fitness on Demand (virtual instructor on a 10 foot screen in our group ex room. So awesome!) I'll be sure to share some of my favorite free online yoga videos with y'all to try as the month goes on. I'd love to hear what your favorites are as well!

  1. Good luck! I wish I could do the splits. I might have to add yoga or the splits challenge to my June goals.
