My Advice: Always dream another dream

I'm back to #Blogtember! Today's prompt is to pass on some useful advice or information you learned and always remembered.

You are never too old to set another goal or dream another dream.

For those of you who have been around since the A Glimpse of the Gougler days {aka last month}, y'all know about my feelings on always following your dreams. For those of you who have just found A Balancing Act, I recently decided followed my heart, dreams, passions and goals. Last month I quit my job in Corporate America to become a personal trainer and wellness coach.

For months I felt stuck. I didn't love my job, let alone like my job. It didn't suit me, my personality or my dreams. Thankfully, my fantastic support system helped me to open my eyes and dream another dream.

My mom was constantly telling me that I wasn't too old or too far in to follow my dreams and make the change. I wasn't sure I believed her, but thank goodness I decided to remember that Mother knows best {let's go ahead and add that to another piece of advice to remember!}

So here I am, teaching group exercise and studying my little heart out. This has given me the time to really focus on material for my group classes and it gave me the time to study new formats! As of last week I am officially a Pilates instructor! Next step is to become Pilates mat certified and potentially onto the machines.

It's definitely terrifying and a learning process, but I am grateful for my support system. Never forget that you are never too old or too far in to follow your dreams. Happiness is one of the greatest things in life and following your dreams and reaching your goals will make you exponentially happier. In my case, that's exactly what I needed. Now time to get back to the books :)
