Saw it. Pinned it. Did it: Joy Decor

It's Thursday! Hip hip hooray! I'm ready for the weekend already. The week is going pretty quickly, but I'm not feeling too hot. Talk about a total bummer since I'm running a 30K this Sunday. Here's to lots of rest before then so I can run at my best!

I'm linking up again with Katie and Stephanie for Saw it. Pinned it. Did it. to share a project I made a while back! It's actually a combination of two pins that I brought into one!

My Final Product:

I wanted to take the yarn look and tie it into Christmas decor! The best part is that it actually can stay up all year round. All I need to do it swap the O to an & and the Y to an A! Then you have J & A. Or I could just put AMY. Oh the beauty of having a 3 letter name :)

It doesn't take a brain surgeon to create this one. Here's how to do it:

Ingredients:
3 bottles {I used Snapple}
Your choice of colored yarn
Letters
Double sided tape
Hot glue gun

How to:
Put tape around the entire bottom of the bottle. Then put tape up the side so your yarn will stick.
Place a dab of hot glue at the yarn starting point.
Start wrapping yarn from the bottom to the top of the bottle.
Depending on the thickness of the yarn, you may need to wrap it back down to the bottom. {I did}
Place a dab of hot glue at the yarn ending point.
Glue your letters to the yarn and ta-daaaaa!!!
Simple as that.

Here it is on my slightly cluttered book shelves:

I didn't have the heart to crop out my Christmas Moose! Especially since Maggie ate his partner :( Her got in big trouble!

Since we're talking about Christmas decor, here's some of my other decorations!

This is my amazingly beautiful baker's rack that my Auntie Annie gave the hubs and I! Seriously, in love. We just got it this weekend. The decor on here isn't final, just a bit I threw on there for now. The reindeer, Faith sign and the mittens were all finds at First Monday last weekend!

My 'noel' letters I also got from First Monday. Yes, I could have made them, but why do that if I can buy them for pretty cheap? Time is money people :)

And of course I had to show y'all my Christmas tree! It's little, but it's ours and I love it.

I even was able to get Maggie to sit still for long enough in front of the tree to snap a picture! Love my little girl! So who's ready for Christmas?! I AMMMM!!!

Until next time...
With love and God bless,
