In the middle of the night...

...I go walkin' in my sleep. From the mountains of faith, to the river so deep...Anyone? Anyone? Billy Joel...River of Dreams? Rockin' 90's song. You know you've heard it :)

Okay so last night, the hubs woke up absolutely panicked in the middle of the night. He sat straight up, breathing heavily saying that he can't believe he forgot it! I proceed to ask him what he forgot and he tells me that he left it on the table. He can't believe he left it on the table. Again, I'm coaxing him, reminding him that we don't have a table yet. {In fact, it's coming TODAY!} Then he continues on about some sort of Excel pivot table and I officially think he's a nut case. Just kidding...kind of. I calmly asked him if he knew where he was, what time it was and tried to wake him up. Eventually he realized that nothing was left of any sort of table, it was 3:00 am and he was tucked into his warm bed with his favorite person in the world. Me of course!

I'm still not sure what he was dreaming about. He woke up telling me sorry about the spider episode. I guess later he had a bad dream about spiders? My poor hubby.

This morning had me thinking that I should probably share with y'all some other awesome adventures that have occurred while the hubs was asleep. {Sorry babe, but you know it's too funny!}

  • Thanksgiving night the hubs fell asleep outside on the back patio while my brothers were still outside in the hot tub. He proceeded to sleep walk around the house. Best part, my youngest brother Matt caught it all on video.
  • That same night, JP woke up a few hours after making it to bed, turned on every light in the room and brushed his teeth. It was 2:00am. I was not pleased; however, I'll admit, it was a bit funny.
  • In 2010, the hubs woke up, took my stuffed animal dog from me {yes I still have one, no shame here!}, and threw him in the hamper in my closet. I guess the hubs didn't like Bowser that night!
  • This one's my favorite! In 2009, the hubs sat straight up at about 4:00am and yelled in the whiniest voice, "It's only Tuesday!" Then he laid back down like nothing had happened. Best part. It was on a Thursday.

Maybe the hubs needs one of these for his sleep walking adventures. A walking sleeping bag. Awesome right? It was invented in Japan so it's got to be legit. They're smart over there.

Of course, these are just a few of the many stories about JP deciding to do weird things at weird hours of the night. Trust me, there are more. As for me, I'm perfect so he's got nothing on me. All I do is punch, kick and flail in my sleep. I blame it on my stellar reflexes.

Do any of y'all {or your significant others} do odd things while sleeping? You know it's too funny not to share!

Until next time...
With love and God bless,

  1. Oh my goodness! This is hilarious!!! When I was younger, my family and I were on vacation and we were sleeping in a hotel. In the middle of the night, I started sleep walking around and tried to open the door. That scared my parents so much! They thought it was someone trying to get in our room. That's the only time though!

  2. Sorry Bud, but this is one of my favorites: JP was about 6 years old and pretty sick with pneumonia. I was constantly checking on him at night as his fever was pretty high. From across the house, I hear him talking. He is sitting bolt upright in bed, making the football referee arm gesture for personal foul, saying in a really authoritative voice (for a 6 year old)"Personal Foul, 15 Yards". At the time I wasn't sure if it was the fever or just JP; now I know :)

  3. OMG that is too funny!!!! My Hubs does/says some weird things in his sleep too. He was texting on a hunk of blanket in his sleep once. That was pretty funny! The first episode you mentioned def sounds like something he would do!!!

  4. Hahahahahahaha oh my goodness hilarious!

  5. ahaha! that last one cracked me up! Apparently I talk in my sleep very often, but I just mumble nonsense. I haven't sleep-walked in a very long time!

  6. Hahaha! That's hilarious. Nate has elbowed me in my face a couple of times during sleep, ugh!

I love hearing from you, so leave a little note :)
