This weekend turned out to be an interesting one for me. I will start off by saying, I took practically zero pictures, none, zilch, nada.  Ooops! I think it's for a good reason though.

The past few weeks have been mentally, emotionally and physically draining for me. Still not quite ready to spill all the details on the world wide web, but things are starting to fall into place. Slowly but surely.

After an exhausting work day on Friday, I decided that a low key night was in store. I whipped up a sort of spaghetti dish with bow tie pasta, garlic pasta sauce, ground turkey and sauteed zucchini, squash and mushrooms! Add a side of garlic bread and we were set. Unfortunately, not a single picture was snapped of my delicious meal! After dinner the hubs and I decided to watch Inception. Such a good, mind boggling movie! I was practically asleep by the end of it and I have no shame in saying that I was in bed by 9:30pm on Friday night. If you had my day, you would have done the same thing!

Oh and I almost forgot to mention that my amazing hubs brought home some flowers for a happy birthmonth present! He's the best :)

Saturday I drove out to the northwest Houston area for a Group Exercise Resistance Training workshop! It was AMAZING! I met some amazing women and had a fantastic instructor. To top it off, I got some of my continuing education credits and renewed my AFAA membership for the next year. I loved how science focused this course was and we also learned some easy ways to design classes in order to change things up week to week! The best part is that I was able to network with some women that are going to help me get back into teaching again! I'll let y'all know how that goes and I'll share some of my fun new workouts with y'all later this week! {I'm still sore so get excited!}

After the workshop I met up with my friends at the Crowsons to finish watching the Ags BTHO SMU and that they did! I do love the smell of sweet victory!

Since I had my workshop on Saturday, I decided to devote this weekend to getting everything ready to submit for my group exercise re-certification {I have to do it every two years}. So that being said, I also had to renew my CPR cert! Sunday morning was spent at a CPR class and don't worry, I passed. Whew! Now all I need is one more online class and I'll be all set to send in my certification details! Yippie!

We spent the rest of the day at my parents house in Sugar Land {my CPR class was close by so the hubs grabbed the pup and met me there after my certification} watching football...and I finished the 3rd Harry Potter book. Maggie loves spending time at my parents because she gets to run around with Dixie {my parents dog} and there are SO MANY PEOPLE TO PLAY WITH! She's such a loving little girl. Here she is snuggling her grandpa...

Ummm...melt my heart.

It was an interesting weekend nonetheless. If anyone is interested in teach group exercise or even if you just want to get involved with going to more classes, feel free to reach out to me! I could talk forever about it!

Side note, Michelle at The Vintage Apple is having a big sponsor giveaway and I'm giving away a personalized tumbler from one of my favorite etsy shops! So go check it out!!!

Hope y'all make it through your Monday. It's a gloomy one here in Houston...may be a good night to cuddle up with a good book {aka start reading Harry Potter 4 :)}

Until next time...
With love and God bless,
