Inspire Me: Healthy - Amped Abs

It's Thursday already??? Oh the beauty of short weeks! It's like the weekend seems to sneak up on you and I am definitely okay with that! You know what one of the best things about Thursday is besides the fact that tomorrow is Friday? Thursday's posts are about health, fitness and inspiration! It really just gets me going. You know what's even more important about this specific Thursday? It's my IRL and blogger friend's birthday!!! Happy birthday Lia Joy! I'm SO SUPER EXCITED to see you this weekend!

Last Week's Workouts
Friday: OFF
Saturday: 8 mile long run {9:20 pace}
Sunday: 3 mile run with Maggie {9:02 pace}
Monday: 2 mile walk
Tuesday: 2.5 mile quick run {8:24 pace}
Wednesday: 4 mile run {8:50 pace}
Thursday: OFF

I'm taking today as my off day because I'm actually doing my long run for this week tomorrow instead of Saturday! I'd have to get up super early in order to knock out 9 miles, shower and get ready before heading out to tailgate and watch A&M BTHO {Beat the hell outta - for all my non-Aggie readers} Florida the rest of the day! I've also created a little abs and push up challenge for myself for the month of September...here's a look!



As you can see, I also have my running schedule for each week. The idea with the crunches is that I do sets of 25 crunches and each set is a different type of crunch/sit up/oblique/core exercise {so it's not really 100+ crunches - that's just easier to write}. Here are some great example of core workouts to try at home! Just remember, in order for your abs to show, you must be doing core workouts and cardio workouts!

 Take a look at this article for some awesome exercises you can do with a stability ball! These are great tools for exercising at home and you can get one at Target or Walmart for just around $20!

Belly Blasting Workout
Core workout using a stability ball and a medicine ball {could sub a hand weight} all in 15 minutes!
