Bloggers, Paint & Wine

So all week, I've been referring to the amazing blogger meet up from last Sunday and all the great girls I met. Well I'm finally ready to share all of my beautiful pictures with you and tell you a little bit about Pinot's Palette!

Up until now, I had not been to a H-Town Blogger meet up. All of the events were on weekends that I was very busy with moving or out of town. As soon as I saw that the June meet up was going to be a Pinot's Palette, I immediately marked off the evening on my calendar because I had been wanting to go for quite some time!

Now a little bit about Pinot's Palette. They offer both public and private parties in their studios as well as off-site events where they bring the party to you! In their studio, you pay a flat fee and you get to bring your own wine (or other beverage of choice) and snacks and they provide the art supplies and teacher! Since we had a private party, we were able to choose the painting that we wanted to do! For regular classes, visit the website to see what paintings are scheduled for upcoming classes! In Houston there are 3 locations in Katy, Galleria area and Montrose area!

Okay so let me tell you, I am NOT an artist by any means. Drawing has never been my forte. I usually keep to stick figures and rainbows. That being said, anyone can do this! Below you'll see that I really did start with a blank canvas and I love how my painting turned out!

Here's what my painting looked like:

TaDa!!! Final product! I love it!

It's so neat to see how everyone's paintings turn out! We all listen to the same instructor and base our painting off of the same piece of art and yet everyone's is so different! Take a look at these group shots!

Here's a glimpse at my side of the table: Breanne, Emily, Me, Jamie, Laura

Here's the whole H-Town Blogger gang! Thanks to Meg for this awesome shot! See what I mean by they're so different! I am so glad that I was able to actually meet so many of my blog friends in real life and meet so many others as well! I'm definitely looking forward to the next meet up!

One other thing I want to mention is Pinot's Palette Art Tasting national charity contest. In the fall, they host the Art Tasting charity event at their studios where guests come and enjoy an open house. This year the Art Tasting will be the weekend of September 14th. There are studios throughout the country participating and the proceeds will be split between a national charity and local charities. Go to their Facebook page at facebook.com/PinotsPalette to vote for the charities through the end of June!

Until next time...
With love and God bless,
