Do you ever wake up and think about just how lucky you are? How fortunate it is that you were blessed with one more day on this earth? How incredible your life really is? I mean, I can blog because I have a computer...2 in fact. There are so many people in this world that don't know what a computer is or have only heard about them. I am loved unconditionally by God, Jesus Christ, my family, husband and friends. There are people in this world that do not know Jesus Christ and his unconditional love for each one of us. There are people in this world that do not experience love on a daily basis...or ever.
I have a job. My husband has a job. We have a house. There are people that are qualified and looking for jobs, but cannot find one. There are people living in the streets, in huts, in slums, in disease. I was born and raised in America. I have rights. I have freedom. There are women in this world that cannot show their faces, cannot speak their minds, cannot stand up for themselves or they will be beaten, thrown in jail or killed.
Some days I feel as though I get frustrated with situations in my life and taking the time to truly appreciate what I have and remember how fortunate I am that truly humbles me. It's easy to become wrapped up in our own world, our own problems and our own issues. All it takes is a quick glance outside of ourselves to be thankful for this day.
Be thankful for today no matter how tough it is because you will get through it. Every hurdle that is put in front of us is God's way of saying that he knows you can handle it. Embrace it. Love it. Make it your own. Life isn't easy and no one ever said it would be. It's all about the steps we take each day to make it great.
Until next time...
With love and God bless,
