April Showers bring May Flowers!

April showers also bring May showers here in Pittsburgh!

Seriously, It rains like crazy here. In April, it rained 21 out of 30 days! That's 3/4ths of the month...not cool. I know that everyone in Houston rejoyced the other day when it finally rained. I would gladly give you some of Pittsburgh's rain. I don't mind sharing...really!

Back to the May flowers was sunny and beautiful in the mid 60's to mid 70's for about an entire week and JP and I took full advantage of this perfect weather. We went shopping at the outlets since their outdoors...took Maggie on PLENTY of walks...

We found some tall grass and weeds that Maggie HAD to get into...of course
My happy little girl
...I ran outside as much as I could...and we planted flowers! Yay for May flowers. I've never had my own yard where I could plant some flowers, so I was very excited about this part. Unfortunately, our front yard doesn't have much of a flower bed at all, but I was able to decorate our big bush quite nicely.

The back yard as some more space and I've only just started back there. I have a few more ideas to add a bit more color and fun. Here's what I have so far:

Some pretty yellow and orange merrigolds

My favorite so far! I just love the color of these lillies!
I figured that since I'm in the backyard a lot with Maggie and I plan to be out there more as the weather gets better, I might as well make it beautiful. I absolutely love being out in my parent's backyard. Not only because of the pool, but because of the ambiance. My mom has done an amazing job making our backyard beautiful. One day I'll be able to do more (hopeuflly with her guidance once I'm back in Texas), but this will do for now and I am quite proud.

Maggie hasn't been on the blog too much lately, so here are some more pictures of my little pup! Unfortunately every picture has to be taken from my iPhone since I left my camera battery charger in DC. I'm ordering a new one as we speak :)

She just realized she's about to get a bath. You would think we were going to hurt her!

Not sure how this is comfy, but she's sound asleep next to her daddy.

Being an attentive listener during puppy class!

Snuggling with mom. Isn't she the cutest?! I may be biased.
That's all for now, but I have great ideas for some interesting new posts! Stay tuned. Until next time...

With love and God bless,
Amy, JP and Maggie
